As Gulf Coast residents, we take inspiration from the natural seaside elements such as sand, clouds and sea. We incorporate them into our coastal designs by means of color and texture. Our interpretation of the coastal style is refined and sophisticated. We tend to shy away from the cliched nautical design, avoiding anchor prints or "beach this way" signs.
Coastal design revolves around natural light, so white rooms create a breezy and spacious atmosphere. We prefer light fabrics and natural materials, such as sheer curtain panels. Soft color palettes with neutral accent colors like warm beiges, light blues, greys and greens work well with this style. For a more playful vibe, we enjoy incorporating pops of navy, various hues of blues and greens (reminiscent of sea glass).
